11th December 1915, enlisted; 12th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 5th August 1916, mobilized; 7th August 1916, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 31st August 1916 to 21st September 1916, Fort Pitt Hospital, Chatham, very neurotic, complains of sleeplessness, always depressed and does not improve, melancholic;
17th January 1917, St Albans Hospital.
17th January 1917, Medical Report - disability, mental instability, origin not known. Enlisted on 7th August 1916, after a few weeks training at Chatham wandered away to London, was sent to Edmonton Hospital by the Police - after a stay of two weeks then to his Regiment. Has periodically recovered from the ?????? condition, but is unstable, Is mentally enfeebled. Not the result of and not aggravated by service. Permanent capacity not lessened.
7th February 1917, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to sickness Silver War Badge issued.
Rejected for Pension.
