Home, 22nd March 1915 to 28th September 1915; Indian Expeditionary Force "D", 29th September 1915 to 3rd April 1916; Home, 4th April 1916 to 12th May 1916.

22nd March 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 27th March 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 21st September 1915, awarded 3 days Field Punishment No.2. for absence; 29th September 1915, posted 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 15th October 1915, Salonika, attached Royal Dublin Fusiliers; 7th November 1915, Balkans, to Hospital; 11th November 1915, Balkans, rejoined; 15th December 1915, Balkans, to Hospital, frostbite & scabies; 27th December 1915, arrived Salonika, 10 Infantry Base Depot; 2nd January 1916, proceeded to front; 3rd January 1916, Balkans, admitted hospital, did not rejoin Battalion, fainting, fits, jaundice, mental deficiency; 28th March 1916, to England by Hospital Ship, Formosa from Malta.

12th May 1916, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to sickness Silver War Badge issued.
