26th March 1917, enlisted; 14th April 1917, mobilized; 17th April 1917, posted Provisional Battalion; 21st October 1917, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, 40 Infantry Battalion Depot; 22nd October 1917, joined Battalion in the Field; 26th November 1917, 7 Convalescent Depot, diarrhoea; 29th November 1917, 10 Convalescent Depot, diarrhoea; 9th December 1917, 10 Convalescent Depot, diarrhoea, discharged to 3 Rest Camp; 28th December 1917, rejoined Battalion, "C" Company; 13th February 1918, 9 Casualty Clearing Station; 3rd March 1918, 11th General Hospital, Genoa, Italy; 23rd March 1918, 57 General Hospital, Marseilles, France; 26th March 1918 to UK on Guildford Castle; 17th April 1918 to 10th August 1918, Bath War Hospital.
7th August 1918, Bath War Hospital, Medical Board - disability trench nephritis, origin according to man's statement, 12th February 1918, Italy. Man states on 12th February 1918 he reported sick complaining of pain in head and aching in body, was passing urine with blood. Then to 11th General Hospital, he states pain in head and leg. Then to Bath Hospital. Present condition, Weak & anaemic, face puffed up after exertion, disablement 100%.
28th August 1918, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to sickness Silver War Badge issued.
